The Mercedes-AMG GT63 has long been revered for its potent performance, but it has primarily been seen as a grand tourer rather than a dedicated track car. Enter the 2025 Mercedes-AMG GT63 Pro, a model that takes the GT63’s capabilities to new heights with enhanced power, improved aerodynamics, and crucially, advanced cooling systems.

Power and Performance Upgrades

The GT63 Pro packs an additional 26 horsepower and 37 lb-ft of torque over the standard model. The 4.0-liter twin-turbo V-8 engine now delivers a formidable 603 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of torque. This boost allows the GT63 Pro to rocket from 0-60 mph in just 3.1 seconds and achieve a 0-124 mph sprint in 10.9 seconds. These figures make it half a second quicker than the regular GT63 and push its top speed to an impressive 197 mph.

Aerodynamics and Cooling Enhancements

While the extra power is impressive, the true transformation lies in the aerodynamics and cooling improvements. The GT63 Pro features two new robust radiators mounted in the front wheel arches, enhancing engine cooling efficiency. Additionally, the differentials and transfer case are equipped with their own radiators and water pumps to maintain the performance of the all-wheel-drive system during extended track sessions.

Redesigned Front Fascia and Aerodynamic Features

The front fascia has been redesigned to include more air deflectors and larger intakes. An active air panel in the nose adjusts air flow based on speed and cooling requirements, effectively reducing 66 pounds of front axle lift. Enhanced air deflectors and fins on the underbody, coupled with a prominent fixed rear wing, add 33 pounds of rear axle downforce, ensuring stability at high speeds.

High-Performance Brakes and Wheels

Standard on the Pro model are carbon-ceramic brakes, featuring 16.5-inch discs with six-piston calipers—the largest standard ceramic set offered by AMG. The discs’ titanium backs reduce unsprung mass, crucial for track performance. The GT63 Pro rolls on lightweight 21-inch forged wheels fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport 5 tires, with the option to upgrade to ultra-sticky Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 Rs at no extra cost.

Advanced Suspension and Interior Features

AMG’s advanced hydraulically linked suspension system comes standard on the GT63 Pro, enhancing handling and ride quality. Additional features include rear-wheel steering, AMG Performance bucket seats, and extensive use of carbon fiber throughout the interior and exterior. Custom paint options are likely to be the only significant extras available.

Debut and Pricing

The 2025 Mercedes-AMG GT63 Pro will make its debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, with deliveries slated for the following year. While Mercedes has yet to announce pricing, it’s expected to be higher than the base model, which starts at $136,050.

The GT63 Pro sets a new benchmark for performance, combining power, precision, and advanced technology to deliver an exhilarating track experience.
