2025 Toyota Crown Signia Gets Official with a Starting Price of $43,590

The 2025 Toyota Crown Signia, a new sophisticated crossover-wagon-ish vehicle with a touch of luxury, starts at $43,590 for the XLE trim and $47,990 for the Limited trim. Both prices exclude Toyota’s $1,395 destination fee. The Crown Signia positions itself in the competitive space of luxury wagons, vying with models from Lexus and BMW. With such, some may think that the new Toyota Crown Signia encroaches on Lexus territory, especially at such a price. That thinking would be on par, as this vehicle will essentially replace the Toyota Venza, which was also thought as a vehicle that was cross shopped with the likings of the Lexus RX. Still, the marketing position of the Crown Signia will capture those who may sway away from the Lexus luxury branding over something they view as more conservative sporting a Toyota badge.

XLE Trim

The new Toyota Crown Signia has two trim levels, XLE and Limited. The XLE trim comes generously equipped with numerous standard features. It includes 19-inch wheels, LED headlights, an acoustic noise-reducing windshield, front side windows, a power-operated tailgate, power-adjustable front seats with heating and ventilation, leather upholstery, heated rear seats, and a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display. These features, combined with a suite of safety technologies, make the XLE an attractive choice.

Limited Trim

The Limited trim, priced near $50,000, offers additional luxuries. It boasts 21-inch wheels, auto-leveling LED headlights, a digital rearview mirror, and a panoramic sunroof. The Limited trim also features an enhanced sound system with an 11-speaker JBL Premium Audio system, surpassing the six-speaker system of the XLE. Both trims include a 12.3-inch infotainment screen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

For those seeking more advanced features, the Limited offers an Advanced Technology Package for $1,865. This package includes a Panoramic View Monitor with Perimeter Scan, Traffic Jam Assist, Front Cross-Traffic Alert, Lane Change Assist, and front/rear park assistance with auto braking. Both trims come with Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 as standard, offering adaptive cruise control, lane tracing assist, and a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection.

Performance and Efficiency

The 2025 Crown Signia is powered by a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine paired with two electric motors, producing a combined 240 horsepower. The vehicle can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 7.1 seconds, offering adequate performance for daily driving. Additionally, it achieves an estimated combined fuel economy of 38 mpg. Power is delivered to all four wheels through an eCVT, and there is speculation about a potential Hybrid Max version with 340 hp, similar to the current Crown model.

Personalization Options

Toyota provides a limited range of color options for the Crown Signia. Customers can choose from Storm Cloud and Black at no extra cost, while Oxygen White, Bronze Age, and Finish Line Red are available for an additional $425. Interior choices are restricted to Black or Saddle Tan, with hopes for more options like cream and red in the future.

Availability

Manufactured at Toyota’s Tsutsumi Plant in Aichi, Toyota City, Japan, the 2025 Crown Signia is set to arrive at US dealerships in summer 2024. Anticipation is high for the potential expansion of the Crown lineup in the US market, with models like the forthcoming Crown Sport is expected to be well-received, also sporting a combination of luxury, performance, and efficiency, making it one of many compelling options in the premium wagon segment.
