The Grand Tour is returning next month with Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May embarking on a journey across Central Europe in a special called Eurocrash. The special will be available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video on Friday, June 16. Although Amazon has revealed minimal information about the special, teaser images show glimpses of the cars the trio will be driving.
Hammond will be behind the wheel of a Chevrolet SSR, a vehicle that was produced from 2003 to 2006, featuring a 5.3- or 6.0-liter V8 engine. In contrast, Clarkson will be driving a Mitsuoka Le-Seyde, a visually striking car from the mid-90s based on the Nissan Silva S13 (Nissan 180SX). May’s choice of car is equally peculiar: a Crosley convertible, manufactured in Ohio from the late 1930s to the early 1950s.
Also, don’t forget that you can get discounted new car pricing with a free quote through qualified local dealer partners.
While Amazon has not released a trailer highlighting the special’s car-centric excitement, one photo shows Clarkson racing against someone on horseback, and another image depicts the trio at a race track, with Clarkson wearing a tightly fitting race helmet.
Supposedly, according to The Sun, the Eurocrash special will follow a 1,400-mile journey from Poland to Slovenia, with visits to Slovakia and Hungary along the way.
There are speculations that the Grand Tour era may be nearing its end. Recent reports suggest that after 2024, Clarkson will not have any new programs airing on Amazon Prime Video. However, this does not mean the trio won’t continue collaborating, and fans may have to seek alternative platforms to witness their adventures.
