I drive a lot of amazing cars and in many ways driving this old heap is still the best. It is a visceral experience. The old Datsun growls and barks. The ride is rough and corners have to be planned out ahead of time to ensure you avoid ending up in a ditch.
Shifting the four speed is a game of chicken, trying to hold the gear as long as possible without causing major engine damage.
Yes there are cleaner and faster Z’s out there, but this L28ET powered two-seater treats me well and enjoys making me giggle.
And if that cockpit doesn’t make you want to drive, I’m not sure what will.
