Mercedes-Benz is making an important step to improve charging convenience for its electric vehicle (EV) customers. Starting February 2025, Mercedes-Benz battery electric vehicle (BEV) drivers in the United States will gain access to over 20,000 Tesla Superchargers, with Canadian access following later that year.

This integration will be part of the Mercedes me Charge service, enabling seamless “Plug & Charge” functionality at Tesla Superchargers. Drivers simply plug in their vehicles, and the charging session begins automatically, with payments processed in the background.

Also, don’t forget that you can get discounted new car pricing with a free quote through qualified local dealer partners.

Expanding Charging Options

To support existing EVs with CCS1 charging ports, Mercedes-Benz will offer a certified NACS-to-CCS1 adapter for $185 at U.S. dealerships starting Q1 2025. Canadian availability is expected by Q2 2025, with pricing to be announced. Future models, however, will feature built-in NACS ports starting in 2025, eliminating the need for adapters and ensuring compatibility with all NACS DC fast chargers.

A Step Toward an Industry-Leading Ecosystem

This collaboration with Tesla Superchargers will expand the Mercedes me Charge network to include over 110,000 public chargers in North America. With features like real-time charger availability and route planning via the Mercedes-Benz app or MBUX infotainment system, the brand aims to deliver a premium charging experience.

Additionally, the company’s own Mercedes-Benz High-Power Charging network, featuring ultra-fast 400 kW chargers, continues to grow across the U.S., with a goal of covering half of the states by 2026.

Driving Toward the Future

With these updates, Mercedes-Benz underscores its commitment to making EV ownership easier and more convenient for its customers. This expanded charging ecosystem ensures drivers can charge where and how they want, aligning with the brand’s vision of reimagining luxury mobility for an all-electric future.

Key Takeaway: Mercedes-Benz BEV drivers will soon enjoy unmatched flexibility with access to Tesla’s Supercharger network, adapters for current models, and integrated NACS ports in future EVs, setting a new benchmark for charging convenience in the luxury segment.
