The Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing has long been celebrated as a top-tier track car for the street, yet Cadillac continues to push boundaries. For the 2025 facelift, they’ve introduced the “Precision Package,” elevating this supercharged V-8 sedan to new heights with advanced chassis enhancements.

At the core of the Precision Package are significant upgrades designed to boost performance. The package features stiffer springs, a fortified front anti-roll bar, and enhanced bushings throughout the suspension. Additionally, Cadillac has equipped the CT5-V Blackwing with new steering knuckles and rear toe links, allowing for more aggressive alignment settings tailored for track driving.

These hardware updates are complemented by refinements in the car’s electronic systems. The MagneRide dampers, steering, and electronic limited-slip differential receive a fresh calibration to synchronize with the new components. Carbon-ceramic brakes, renowned for their superior performance, are also part of the package. To maximize these enhancements, the car comes equipped with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires.

Cadillac emphasizes that these modifications enhance the car’s steering response during turn-in, stability at corner exit, and overall driving feel. Brandon Vivian, Cadillac’s chief engineer, highlighted the intention behind these upgrades: “We built this vehicle to set records on some of the toughest tracks around the world and reward the most discerning driving enthusiast. This new Precision Package will enable the CT5-V Blackwing to be incredibly light on its feet at all speeds—both on road and track.”

While pricing details for the Precision Package are yet to be disclosed, it’s expected to surpass the $10,000 mark, given that carbon-ceramic brakes alone add $9,595 to the price of a 2024 CT4-V Blackwing. Despite this, the CT5-V Blackwing with the Precision Package is anticipated to remain more affordable than the new BMW M5, with the added allure of a manual transmission option—a feature BMW does not offer.

With the 2025 CT5-V Blackwing and its Precision Package, Cadillac continues to solidify its reputation for delivering exceptional performance and driving dynamics, ensuring that enthusiasts can enjoy a thrilling and refined driving experience.
