Polestar is turning heads at Goodwood this year. Alongside its updated Polestar 2 sedan and the brand-new Polestar 3 and 4 crossovers, the innovative electric automaker is unveiling an exciting new concept that hints at a next-generation performance vehicle. Dubbed the Polestar Concept BST, this striking model is set to make a significant impact at the Festival of Speed.

The BST concept’s design will resonate with Polestar enthusiasts, as it draws heavily from the O2 concept introduced in 2022, which is slated to evolve into the production Polestar 6 convertible. This latest iteration of the sports car amplifies its performance-oriented aesthetics, featuring flared arches, an assertive front end, 22-inch wheels, a distinctive BST livery over silver paint, and an eye-catching rear wing.

Although Polestar has yet to release specific powertrain details for the Concept BST, expectations are high. If this concept transitions into a production model, it’s likely to boast impressive performance metrics. The production version of the Polestar 6 is projected to deliver 884 horsepower and achieve a 0-60 mph time of 3.2 seconds. A potential BST variant could push these boundaries even further, potentially offering up to 1,000 horsepower and a 0-60 mph time of under three seconds, following the precedent set by the Polestar 2 BST.

Adding to the excitement, the Polestar 6 will also participate in the iconic Goodwood hill climb for the first time this year. Scheduled for a 2026 release, the Polestar 6 will utilize the new Polestar Performance Architecture (PPA), which will also be the foundation for the upcoming Polestar 5 sedan, the brand’s contender against the Porsche Taycan.

Initially, the Polestar 6 will be available in a limited run of 500 units for the first year. However, CEO Thomas Ingenlath assures enthusiasts that production will continue as long as there is demand. The final production version is expected to debut in 2025, and there’s a possibility that a high-performance BST variant will be revealed alongside it.

Polestar’s presence at Goodwood underscores its commitment to pushing the boundaries of electric performance and design, making it an exciting brand to watch in the coming years.
