Toyota has initiated a recall affecting just over 100,000 units of its Tundra trucks and Lexus LX 600 SUVs due to a potential issue with engine debris, the company disclosed on Thursday. The recall targets certain model year 2022–2023 Tundra trucks and LX vehicles, where the engines may contain machine debris that was not adequately removed during the production process.

This oversight could lead to various engine-related problems such as knocking, rough running, starting failures, or power loss, as outlined by the company.

Toyota has assured that they are actively working on a solution for this concern and intend to inform affected vehicle owners by late July. Specifically, the recall pertains to models equipped with the V35A engine, featuring crankshaft main bearings that facilitate the rotation of the crankshaft within the engine assembly during operation.
