The Rimac Nevera, an electric hypercar known for its incredible acceleration and top speed, has once again made history at the prestigious Goodwood Festival of Speed. Not only is it already the fastest accelerating production car and the EV with the highest verified top speed, but now it also holds the title of the fastest electric production car to conquer the challenging Goodwood hillclimb. In fact, it’s the fastest production car overall this year, setting a record time of 49.32 seconds during the Supercar Shootout on the event’s final day.

Behind the wheel of the Rimac Nevera was Miroslav Zrnčević, the Chief Test and Development Driver at Bugatti Rimac. Known for his daring and impressive driving skills, Zrnčević took on the narrow and demanding Goodwood hillclimb with precision and speed. This year, the focus was not just on putting on a show but on setting a new record. With tens of thousands of spectators on-site and millions more watching online, there was a fine line between success and disaster, but Zrnčević showcased the incredible work of the design and engineering teams, adding another verified record to the Nevera’s name.

Throughout the Festival of Speed, Rimac Automobili hosted VIPs and customers at its track-side hospitality pavilion. Guests were even given the opportunity to join Miro in the Nevera for the thrilling hill runs, experiencing firsthand the blistering speed and exceptional performance of a car that has received numerous accolades. The Rimac Nevera has been recognized as Top Gear’s Best Electric Performance car, earned a Robb Report Best of the Best Award, and was named GQ Hypercar of the Year.

During the event, the Rimac Nevera showcased a special livery created by the Rimac design team. Inspired by the Rimac BMW e-M3, a groundbreaking electric vehicle that set several all-electric speed records, this livery pays homage to Mate Rimac’s journey and the inspiration behind Rimac Automobili. The Nevera also made headlines earlier this year when it broke 23 acceleration and performance records in a single day.

At the core of the Nevera’s impressive performance is its advanced battery system, powertrain, and software, all developed in-house by the Rimac Group. The front and rear powertrains consist of two individual motors that provide power to each wheel independently. The rear powertrain, equipped with a 1MW dual inverter, delivers 900Nm and 470kW per motor, while the bespoke front powertrain ensures optimal power and control. All these systems are managed by in-house developed electronic control units and an NVIDIA Pegasus-based supercomputer, working together to calculate and send output to the four powertrain systems 100 times per second. This harmonious combination of hardware and software is known as Rimac All-Wheel Torque Vectoring 2.

Limited to just 150 units, the Rimac Nevera is currently being built on the outskirts of Zagreb and is already being delivered to customers worldwide. Its groundbreaking performance, cutting-edge technology, and record-breaking achievements solidify its position as one of the most exceptional electric vehicles ever produced.
