Land Rover has introduced an updated 2024 Discovery Sport, enhancing the popular crossover with significant changes. While the exterior maintains its familiar look, the automaker has focused on redesigning the center console and instrument panel. Additionally, the option for a third-row seating configuration is still available, allowing for a total of seven passengers to be accommodated.
One of the notable updates in the 2024 Discovery Sport is the introduction of a new curved 11.4-inch touchscreen, which runs on the latest Pivi Pro system. This touchscreen comes with a range of features, including standard integration with Amazon Alexa, Wireless Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. The increased functionality of the screen, combined with a redesigned gear selector, has enabled Land Rover to reimagine the layout and create a more spacious front console storage area. Wireless charging, a digital instrument cluster, and steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters are among the standard features included in the updated model.

Land Rover takes pride in the Discovery Sport’s versatility, boasting a remarkable 24 possible seat configurations. The second-row seats can be adjusted by sliding and reclining and feature a split of 40:20:40. With the rear seats folded down, the crossover offers an impressive 63.35 cubic feet of cargo space. In terms of exterior options, Land Rover introduces Varesine Blue to the color palette, joining premium paints such as Santorini Black, Firenze Red, Eiger Grey, Hakuba Silver, and Ostuni Pearl White. Carpathian Grey and Silicon Silver are also available for an additional cost, while Fuji White is offered as a standard option. Furthermore, customers have the choice of new 21-inch gloss black alloy wheels and 19-inch gloss black or diamond-turned wheels.
The 2024 Discovery Sport is available in two trims: S and Dynamic SE. The S trim features a newly designed contrasting gloss black grille with the hexagon motif, Indus Silver skid plates, and body-color lower sills. On the other hand, the Dynamic SE trim stands out with its contrasting gloss black roof, lower body sills, lower bumper, and script. Land Rover adds a touch of sportiness to both trims with front bumper intake accents resembling claws.
The new model is equipped with an Ingenium turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, delivering 246 horsepower and 269 pound-feet of torque. Power is transmitted to the four-wheel-drive system through a nine-speed automatic transmission. The seven-seat variant achieves a 0-60 mph time of 7.5 seconds, slightly slower than the five-seat version by 0.2 seconds.
Starting at $50,075 (including the $1,175 destination charge), the 2024 Discovery Sport S is the more affordable option. The three-row version begins at $51,795, with the seven-seat option available for just an additional $1,720, without requiring any other upgrades. As for the Sport Dynamic SE, it starts at $54,275 and can reach a price of $68,435 when fully equipped. Various optional upgrades are available, including a full-size spare tire ($400), red brake calipers ($425), 21-inch gloss black wheels ($1,650), and several package options such as the Dynamic Handling Pack ($1,600), Tech Pack ($1,450), Comfort Pack ($580), Towing Pack 2 ($1,050), and Cold Climate Pack ($890).
