The all-new 2015 GMC Sierra is in our garage this week equipped with the ever-so-powerful 6.6-liter V8 Turbo Diesel engine with 397 horsepower and an astonishing 765 lb-ft of torque. With the all-new 2014 Chevrolet Silverado taking the 2014 North American Truck of the Year award, it is nice to its close GMC Sierra sibling wear a slightly different front-end characterizing the GMC brand – which is just as good inside and out. In our week-long journey in this beast we are going to attempt to haul away a 13,000 lbs. trailer across the Dames Point Bridge. Actually, I am kidding, but this is the right truck to do such a job. Check back with us in a few weeks for our full review.
Update: Hauling a “few” items today in the all-new 2015 GMC Sierra 2500HD Denali. This “little” load of almost 1000 pounds was laughed at by the 765 lb-ft of torque and large 6.6-ft bed.
