I had to do a double take to make sure this was not the new Lexus LS460 on display at the New York International Auto Show. Come to find out it was the Hyundai Equus.
Sources such as InsideLine have reported that Hyundai has plans to bring the Equus to North America in the next two to three years. Featured at the 2009 New York International Auto Show is the full sized, and I mean FULL SIZED, Hyundai Equus. The price is estimated to start at $96,000 in the current condition. Hopes are that once it reaches the states is it will cost a lot less considering the other cars that it is put up against. I realize Hyundai is the “stuff” now but almost $100K for a Hyundai in America, we have yet to have an economy to support such a thing. I may be forced to take my $100K and buy a new BMW 7-series with more gadgets than you could ever imagine vs. buying a $100K Hyundai.
Also, don’t forget that you can get discounted new car pricing with a free quote through qualified local dealer partners.
Looking the big butt on this car you would think it is the new Lexus LS 460 especially from the exhaust design, interior and badge that reads “VS460″… hmmm, wonder who Hyundai is chasing with the Equus? I’m calling Lexus (Toyota) to tattle-tell on Hyundai!
Anywho, we hope this gigantic mammoth of a sedan will fit on your screen in its full size. Images below… Enjoy!
