GTI S – $32,445 MSRP

The entry-level GTI S brings fresh styling cues, including a redesigned front bumper, an illuminated Volkswagen logo, and a lightbar integrated into the grille. Two new colors, Alpine Silver Metallic and Slate Blue Metallic, add to the GTI’s bold presence. Standard 18-inch machined aluminum-alloy wheels and a red character line complete the aggressive exterior updates.

Inside, the GTI S features a freestanding 12.9-inch touchscreen running Volkswagen’s latest MIB3 infotainment system. The system is shared with the ID. Buzz and 2024 ID.4, offering faster performance and a more intuitive interface. Hard buttons return to the steering wheel, replacing the previous haptic touch controls. Other notable additions include ventilated wireless charging, an AI-powered voice assistant (available via subscription), and Volkswagen’s IQ.DRIVE driver assistance suite as standard.

GTI SE – $37,420 MSRP

Stepping up to the GTI SE trim unlocks additional premium features, including 18-inch R-design alloy wheels, Light Assist automatic high beams, and Clubsport ArtVelours seat covers. The harman/kardon premium audio system, sunroof, and KESSY keyless entry come standard.

For an additional $1,300, buyers can opt for the Leather Seats Package, which adds ventilated leather seats, driver’s seat memory, and power-adjustable front seats.

GTI Autobahn – $40,880 MSRP

At the top of the GTI range, the Autobahn trim includes everything from the SE trim while adding DCC adaptive damping, 19-inch alloy wheels with summer performance tires, and heated rear seats. The cabin receives premium upgrades such as a Head-Up Display (HUD) and 3-zone Climatronic automatic climate control. Park Assist Plus also comes standard, making tight parking spots easier to navigate.

2025 Volkswagen Golf R

For those who crave more performance, the 2025 Golf R starts at $47,100 and delivers 328 horsepower—a 13-hp increase over its predecessor—making it the most powerful production Golf ever. The 7-speed DSG dual-clutch automatic is the only transmission option, and the 4Motion all-wheel-drive system ensures optimal traction.

Golf R Standard – $47,100 MSRP

The exterior receives a redesigned front bumper, new headlights, and an illuminated Volkswagen logo, along with lightweight 19-inch forged alloy wheels that improve handling.

Inside, the Golf R shares the GTI’s new 12.9-inch touchscreen with the latest MIB3 operating system. Other standard features include harman/kardon premium audio, navigation, Wi-Fi, satellite radio, and ventilated Nappa leather seats. A ventilated wireless charging pad, heated front and rear seats, and Park Assist Plus are also included.

For those seeking a purist experience, the Euro Style Package ($3,795) adds fabric seats, deletes the sunroof, and includes an Akrapovič titanium exhaust system, which reduces weight and enhances the Golf R’s aggressive soundtrack.

Golf R Black Edition – $48,415 MSRP

For an even bolder look, Volkswagen introduces the Golf R Black Edition, priced at $48,415. This trim features blacked-out accents, unique 19-inch gloss black forged alloy wheels, and darkened headlight elements. Carbon fiber interior trim adds a sporty touch inside. Available colors include Mythos Black Metallic, Pure White, and Lapiz Blue Metallic.

With its refreshed design, improved tech, and enhanced performance, the 2025 Volkswagen Golf GTI and Golf R continue to dominate the hot hatch segment. Whether you’re looking for the balanced driving experience of the GTI or the raw power of the Golf R, these models offer something for every enthusiast.
