Jaguar seems to be on a mission recently with the introduction of their latest R and RS variations to literally claw their way to the front of the pack. To top-off the R-spec vehicles, Jaguar is set to introduce the new XJR at the New York Auto Show next week packing in 550 horsepower and 502 lb-ft. of torque from the same snarling 5.0-liter supercharged V8 found in the XFR-S and XKR-S. Top speed is said to be about 186 mph while 0-62 mph times should come in around 4.5 seconds.
Other changes to the new Jaguar XJ flagship with an R-badge, to run with the likings of the new Audi S8, will be modifications made to the brakes, steering and suspension to make the large XJR a bit more agile on its 4 paws. We will await the official unveil next week in New York to get a scoop on the rest of specs of the British super limo.
